Order Processing
After your order is placed online we begin the fulfillment process during our business hours of Mon-Fri 7am-3:30 pm and Saturdays 7am-12 pm. Every order is cut-to-size from mill length sheets or bars and hand-packaged just for you. Each piece of material is carefully processed with strict quality controls to ensure your order arrives exactly how you want it.

Backorders
We will notify you along with an estimate of when your items will be back in stock.

Expedited Processing
Orders placed via Next Day Air or Second Day Air delivery service will receive special attention and our warehouse will make every effort to process and ship your order within 24 hours depending on available inventory. If you require same day processing and shipping please give our customer service center a call to at 408.294.2334 to verify our ability to meet your request.

Emergency Processing
Industrial Metal Service understands that at times you may have an emergency situation and need your order immediately. We are here to help and can usually accommodate your request, whether it be Same Day or Next Day AM delivery. Please contact our customer service center at 408.294.2334 with your request and we will make every effort to get just what you need. Additional fees may apply.

Protective Packaging
To ensure your materials arrive in the best condition possible, we ship all orders in custom shipping packages that support the unique characteristics of fabrication materials.

Our packaging is designed to protect long, heavy pieces and to prevent bending or crushing, while minimizing shipping expense for you. We also take extra care in packaging sheets to ensure that delicate corners do not bend or warp in the shipping process.

Our specially designed sheet packages fit most standard cut size dimensions. For larger items, we custom build packaging using triple walled corrugated pad and v-board to protect your material during shipment.

Zero Waste Commitment
This planet is the only one we’ve got, and we believe it is important to take care of it. For this reason, our customized packaging helps increase efficiency and reduce waste. Additionally, we recycle all of the remnants from our cut pieces. Lastly, we work with suppliers who focus on environmentally friendly metals production and recycling.

Shipping Quotes
We provide instant shipping quotes on all orders before checking out. When you are on any product page, just click the “Get Shipping Rates” button. On this page you can enter your zip code and whether you are shipping to a residence or business, and we’ll give the shipping options. If you find one you like, click it and then click the red “Checkout” button. Please note quotes for large loads weighing 150lbs+ that require freight transportation are just estimates and subject to change based on final weight. Not ready to order? Standard Delivery
Industrial Metal Service offers nationwide delivery via Standard Ground or 3rd Day service by UPS and FedEx for orders less than 150lbs, 8ft or less in length, and 3ft x 4ft and under in size. All orders exceeding these parameters ship via Industrial Metal Service truck, LTL Freight Truck, LTL flatbed truck, or various authorized vendor owned trucks.

Expedited Delivery
When you need your order right away, Industrial Metal Service offers nationwide delivery via Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air service by UPS and FedEx for orders less than 150lbs, 8ft or less in length, and 3ft x 4ft and under in size. Larger orders are shipped via Industrial Metal Service truck, LTL Air Freight, LTL Freight Truck Guaranteed, or various authorized vendor owned trucks. Additional fees may apply.

Large Order Delivery
Industrial Metal Service delivers orders of all sizes, from just a handful to truck loads. We are not limited in quantity or weight, and have many options available to deliver just what you need regardless of size. Please contact our customer service center for special pricing on your larger orders and arrange for your best delivery option.

Worldwide Delivery
Industrial Metal Service ships industrial metal to customers located throughout North America, including United States, Canada, and Mexico. Smaller orders ship via UPS or FedEx, and larger orders over 150 lbs ship via LTL Freight.

Insurance
Everything we ship carries enough insurance to cover the cost of any damage caused by the shipper.

Receiving your Order
UPS and FedEx will deliver right to your door with no signature required. However, all LTL Freight orders and vendor truck deliveries are Freight on Board. This means that you are responsible for the unloading of your order from the delivery truck. Any additional services such as tail gate service or inside delivery may cost extra and are your responsibility. Please make sure you inspect all deliveries for damage and material piece count prior to signing the driver’s delivery receipt. Once you sign without noting any damage or exceptions, the material belongs to you.

Online Order Pickup
Save money by picking up your order! Online order pickup service is available if you’re located within the vicinity of our San Jose, CA facility located at 260 Phelan Avenue
San Jose, CA 95112. We’ll send you an email to let you know when your order is ready for pickup, with most orders processed within a few hours.
*Please note, we are unable to make any additional cuts to material once the order has been processed returns and exchanges.
